Available for hire specializing in Divine Feminine Gatherings, Meditation, Retreats, Yoga, and Sound Baths in Lafayette and the surrounding areas.

Hi, I’m Brooke!

I’ve been teaching yoga and practicing meditation for 10 years. More recently, I have found a passion to share with the world in Holographic Sound Healing and Yoga Nidra. I find all of these practices to be essential for my own well-being and I’m extremely passionate about sharing them with others to assist in finding balance and harmony within mind, body, and spirit.

I often refer to myself as an ‘enthusiast of all things living’ – a reflection of my deep love for nature, animals, connecting with other people, and this magical thing we call the human experience. My mission is to guide people into a well-balanced lifestyle by sharing healthy practices you can incorporate into your daily routines. At the same time, I have a strong focus on remembrance and empowering women to help create a world of balance and unity.

remembering the ancient feminine retreat

8/25/22 - 8/28/22

Join us for a weekend of expansion and remembrance as we connect with other women, ourSelves, and the Ancient Divine Feminine Wisdom we hold within.

We will share ways to honor our Sacred Cycle, build safe boundaries around the temple that is our body, rekindle our connection with our womb, and share rituals to treat everyday like a ceremony. We will also have a HERstory lesson on the evolution of the ways in which women have been treated by society throughout time. These ancestral traumas, as well as our own traumas from this lifetime, show up in our bodies in a multitude of ways: physically, energetically, and emotionally. Together, we will mother our pain, emotions, and ancestral grief to find deep healing, connection, gratitude, and joy.

Are you ready for this initiation into the journey of re-membering our inner Ancient Divine Femininity?

Bi-weekly ZOOM yoga + women's gathering

EVERY 1st and 3rd WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH.

A bi-weekly Yoga, Conscious Conversation + Women’s Gathering via Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:00PM.

Each yoga session and conscious topic will be recorded and posted in the Member’s Portal. This way if you are unable to attend the live stream, you have the option to practice and watch it on your own time.

Our yoga + short meditation will be followed by a different conscious conversation topic each week. We will then open the floor for anyone who wants to share. This is a safe space for you to feel SEEN and HEARD.

To keep this a safe space, I will not record our sharing circles.

My mission is to create community while reminding women of the Ancient Divine Femininity we hold within to find empowerment and deep healing.

yoga offerings:

Vinyasa is one of the most popular contemporary styes of yoga which is also called flow yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic sequence of poses which involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The flow doesn’t necessarily have to be a fast flow. We always take the class at the pace of the individual. Vinyasa has both many physical and mental benefits.

Yoga is for all levels from basic beginner to advanced.

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. Lots of props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body as you relax deeply into the pose. We do long holds in theses relaxing postures and use the breath to help us relax even deeper.

RELAX – RESTORE – REJUVENATE

Prenatal yoga can help you prepare for labor and promote your baby’s health as well as help you relax and stay fit during your pregnancy.

I have taught many clients throughout their pregnancies, all who have found yoga to be helpful both during their pregnancy and their labor.

Prenatal yoga can:

  • Improve sleep
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
  • Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath

Chair yoga is a general term for practices that modify yoga poses so that they can be done while seated in a chair.

These modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions.

Brooke is certified in Groovy Kids Yoga, teaching kids ages 6-12 years old.

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga:

Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness.
Mentally, their concentration, sense of calmness and relaxation improves.

Doing yoga helps children connect more deeply with the inner self.
It also helps them develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

I find it important to always end their class with a short meditation.

Meditation offerings:

Yoga Nidra is also known as, “yogic sleep.”  During Yoga Nidra, you will enter a calming state that triggers a relaxation response, naturally reducing stress in the body and mind. The practice creates physical and mental activities that change brain waves to release emotional tension, slow down the nervous system, and allow muscles to relax.

How does Yoga Nidra work?
While falling asleep, brain waves begin moving from thoughtful beta waves, pass through the stages of alpha waves, then theta waves, and finally enter the slowest frequency of sleep – delta waves. Yoga Nidra guides practitioners into a state of relaxation between the alpha and theta state. This allows us to lie in deep relaxation between waking and sleeping. This state calms the autonomic nervous system that regulates the body’s processes that take place without a conscious effort. In addition, it puts the parasympathetic nervous system into a deeper resting state. Through calming the nervous system, this guided meditation deeply benefits the brain and body.

Yoga Nidra Benefits:
• Improves thought patterns. • Reduces stress. • Enhances cognitive memory + performance. • Improves mindfulness. • Diminishes symptoms of anxiety + depression. • Helps treat chronic pain. • Reduces PTSD. • Improves sleep + insomnia. •Improves self-esteem + confidence. • Lowers blood pressure. • Enhances creativity. • Strengthens immune system. • Recharges vital energy. • Balances the nervous system. • Strengthens the endocrine system.

Holographic Sound Healing is a method of sound healing mainly using high quality quartz singing bowls and, from time to time, toning of the voice.

A sound bath can be easier than other meditative practices because it doesn’t require a lot of discipline or patience to learn how to do it — all you have to do is listen.

Benefits of a sound bath can include:

  • managing anxiety and depression
  • enhances relaxation
  • soothes the nervous system
  • blocks all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body.

A beautiful blend of  Yoga Nidra + Sound Healing where we relax deeply in a guided meditation as we attune to the beautiful vibrations of singing bowls.

Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.

In this meditation, I will guide your awareness throughout the parts of your body where the 7 main chakras reside using affirmations affiliated with each chakra.

Tea ceremony is rooted in Zen Buddhism as well as the Japanese appreciation for tea; it is about stepping away from the to-do lists and anxiety of everyday life to focus on the here and now.

Mindfulness is at the core of the practice. Every step in the process is executed carefully and with full attention.

During a tea ceremony there are specific stages. Participants focus all their senses on the moment and experience it fully. It is, therefore, a form of mindful meditation. This is what the tea ceremony is all about: concentrating exclusively on the moment at hand and noticing even the smallest details of the ritual.

I uses Living Tea for ceremonies which are tea leaves harvested from the high mountains and valleys of Yunnan, China and Taiwan. These are wild grown, ancient tea trees aging hundreds of years old free of any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or weed- killers.

People who have studied or attended tea ceremony say it’s like an active meditation that leaves them calmer, more focused, and more able to face the challenge of everyday life.

I offer tea ceremonies and yoga in Slidell, New Orleans, Mandeville, Covington and any other surrounding area.

If you are interested in having me host a Tea Ceremony, contact me for more information!

Cacao ceremony has become a centerpiece of my routine ritual. Cacao ceremonies are helpful for getting clarity, setting intentions, inner-processing, self renewal, keeping us centered, and connected to our hearts.

Engaging with chocolate as a ritual, rather than consuming it as candy, has direct positive impact on our individual well-being as well as our global ecosystem.

Being in a sacred space helps you get out of your normal frame of mind, allowing you to experience new insights & perspectives. Depending on the intention of the ceremony they can also be wonderful places to connect with people in a safe, open-hearted environment. Sharing cacao brings us into the same energetic frequency. This often results in deeper more intimate connection with ourselves and each other.

When we gather to share cacao, we have a shared experience of mood elevation, increased vitality, enhanced intuition and empathy, and a more open, present heart. It is a medicinal & healing experience for your body, mind, and spirit.
